How should I care for my LAXWEAR garments?
  • For best results, follow the care instructions on the garment.  In general wash in cold water, with like colors.  Dry on low heat.  Do not dry clean.  Allow to air dry if possible.
Should I expect any shrinkage of my garments? 
  • Even though the garments have been pre-shrunk, you should still expect 4% - 5% shrinkage with 100% cotton garments. 

 

Definition of Terms:

 
Double Needle Stitching
  • Double row of stitching at seam.
Pique Knit
  • A fabric characterized by a prominent, all-over mini geometric texture on the fabric's face and a jersey stitch on the fabric's back. The softest of all pique fabrics due to the way it's knit.
Placket 
  • A slit extending down the front of the shirt from the neck.  The slit is usually secured with buttons.
Seamless Collar
  • A collar that is knit in a circle and set circular. There are no "joining" seams on the collar.
Taping
  • A design feature whereby a piece of fabric is used to cleanly cover a seam.
Top Stitching
  • A design feature, both decorative and functional, that is an additional means of securing fabric plies whereby the original seam is folded under and sewn down.
